Delicious grilled tri-tip sandwiches packed with flavor from tender steak, creamy mayo-Dijon spread, peppery arugula, sweet caramelized onions, and gooey provolone cheese, all sandwiched between toasted rolls.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 pounds tri-tip steak
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 4 sandwich rolls, sliced
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 cup arugula
- 1 cup caramelized onions
- 4 slices provolone cheese
Instructions:
Warm the grill up to a medium-high level
Spice up a tri-tip steak with smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and olive oil
Grill steak for 5 to 7 minutes on each side, or until its done the way you like it
After 10 minutes, cut the steak very thinly across the grain
On the grill, toast the rolls until they get a little brown
You can mix mayonnaise and Dijon mustard in a small bowl
Put some of the mayonnaise mix on the bottom half of each roll
Add arugula, caramelized onions, sliced tri-tip steak, and provolone cheese on top
On each sandwich, put the top half of the roll
Serve right away and enjoy
