Ingredients:
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can 14
- 5 oz diced tomatoes
- 1 can 8 oz tomato sauce
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked rice, for serving
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions:
Set a big pan on medium heat and add some oil to it
Place the celery, onion, and bell pepper in the pan
About 5 minutes of cooking will soften the food
Turn off the heat and add the garlic
Cook for one more minute
Put in the tomato sauce, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, oregano, thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper
There should also be chicken broth
Use a stir to mix
Bring the mixture to a low boil, then stir it every now and then for about 15 minutes
It will take about 5 minutes of cooking after adding the shrimp until they turn pink and opaque
Put the shrimp creole on top of cooked rice and sprinkle chopped parsley on top
